Monitoring Entities Classifications
Servers-543, Networking devices-27, URLS-32, Databases- (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Webservers (Apache, Nginx), Kubernetes cluster, Redis servers etc .
Implemented Monitoring and Alerting process using Zabbix:
- Zabbix reports the issues in the environment through Email and Team channel.
- Auto-remediation has been configured for identified issues (Service restarts, Container issues) in the environment.
- Dashboards are created to enhance the visualization of performance metrics and problems reported.
Created a severity metrics for monitoring items across the environment and revamp the monitoring policy. - Integrated PagerDuty with the monitoring system and enabled more sophisticated alerting capabilities.
Improved the top 10 frequently occurring issues with the auto-remediation process to reduce human intervention for L1 issues. - Implemented Zabbix monitoring in AWS (Work effort can be carried over to cloud and additional cost saving with free licencing of Zabbix).
